he died because he lacked the strength to change, regardless of having every conceivable reason to do so:
its a statement on the nature of criminality and the duality of genius; how we are both champions and victims of our flaws. that same drive and high tension focus and discipline that made him walk away from the warehouse break-in was responsible for him going after his nemesis when the obvious play was to blow it off and move on and retire with the perfect future ahead of him.
he first explored this theme with James Caan in Thief, btw, but in a far more nuanced and circumspect way, perhaps intentionally but more likely because it is, at its core, a brilliant and evocative piece of shit film.

he likes to beat off and strangle himself to this one
The one movie that everyone thought a lot about and that includes people swimming in a fresh water lake is Jaws.
It weighed on the mind.
Another film with with Robert Shaw as lead was The Taking Of Pelhma 1.2.3
Jerry Stiller and Jack Klugman. Klugman, you don't get names like that anymore

Another great con artist movie: Diggstown
Just re-saw Ex Machina a couple days ago. Pretty interesting and thought provoking movie. It was funny because I saw when I was re-watching it it felt real weird because I felt like I knew both the main male characters form somewhere else, and then googled it and saw they are Star Wars actors too. Also, Vikander has a pretty face but man that body just does nothing for me. I can live with the small tits, but man I need a chick to have a certain amount of hips and ass or it just doesn't work for me at all. It doesn't have to be full Kardashian, but there has to be something there.
I've mentioned before that I thought this was a weird thread. But instead of "think about a lot" you said meant a lot to you for some reason I would have a long list. But two in particular I'll mention because I actually bought both on iTunes, something I've never done before.
Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
The Snicket one came out of left field. Just was taken in from the get go and Jim Carrey's abilities blew me away.
Mad, Mad World I first saw as a kid and I knew comedy was for me.
You could not make such a movie today. It had every top comedian/comedic actor in the business except for Don Rickles, and he wasn't pleased.
Funny, funny, funny
