    Old hard drive

I have an old hard drive about 10 years old that had all my pictures on it. While switching my pc desk I dropped it and have no power or response when I plug it in. Is there anyway to recover my data?

As with all things, how much are you willing to spend?

its probably a connector, or a crack on the board of the hard drive: as long as the platters aren't damaged you can usually swap the other parts around and get it working again.
You'll need the same or similar hard drive to swap over, and that's where the expert comes in.
Opening the hard drive and exposing it to dust is a bad idea so make sure you are careful since in theory it could make things worse.
When faced with a difficult decision, ask yourself "What would Micon do?", then do the opposite.

how are you 'plugging it in'? If you post a picture of the connections I might be able to help.
