I would be completely fine with all of this if it was about winning at all costs but it wasn't. Zach Smith is a terrible coach. The only reason he was even on the staff is because he's Earle Bruce's grandson.

Pretty fucked up. Heard about it a few hours before it broke from my buddy who works in athletics at Ohio State. He said the sense is he’s done. Seems kind of amazing to me. She never showed the pics to urban’s wife, and her own parents told her to not call the cops at some point or he’d lose his job. So in other words, she and her own family made a financial calculation at some point, yet it will fall on Urban. I’ve been super busy, all I know of the situation is what my buddy told me. I don’t know the details, and he wasn’t sure he was going to be fired, just that was the feeling in the building. Sounded like it came down to his wife would have to be the fall guy, and people at the university didn’t feel that would be palatable in this environment.

I can't see him lasting through the weekend. Urban basically destroyed the UF program in his tenure even though they won while he was there. They have been a disaster since he left in 2009 as he basically developed a toxic culture at UF of win at all costs which led to Aaron Hernandez and three head coaches in 8 years. They have not recovered, it was that bad when he left. My guess is what he did at UF followed him at OSU. It would not surprise me if evidence comes out he knew of Ezekiel Elliot and covered it up, my guess is this is the tip of the iceberg.
Urban is a fabulous coach, but his days in college are over. Unfortunately for him, I am not sure the NFL will want him either. Tressel could not find a job nor could Art Briles, each were on top of their game. In this #metoo environment the only guy that is surviving is Trump.
My guess is he will get walking money of $10M dollars with an NDA and try his best to get with an NFL team, although that is going to be tough in this environment. The only guy I could see hiring him is Jerry Jones, Jerry is a big enough personality to survive the backlash from the media.
Class action lawyers are going to descend on OSU now, it's has the potential to set the program back 5 years. This team was a lock to get to the final 4, now they could be looking at 7 wins as players will simply be looking to the NFL this season.
Stoops left so abruptly I am not sure what happened at Oklahoma. I mean he just signed a huge extension and just quit. He cited burnout, wanting to do other things, etc.. Maybe that is the case, but he had a hugely talented squad and the leading Heisman QB coming back, and he quits a couple months before the season. It just never sound plausible. Stoops was literally at the top of his coaching career, mid 50s making his peak money and just quits when he had his most talented team/QB in the last decade. Just did not make any sense, I doubt he is coming back to coaching any time soon. He might make a Dick Vermiel comeback in a few years though, but I believe it would be in the NFL.

Depending on how long he wants to coach for, he might disappear for a year or 2, end up as an assistant for a few years somewhere, some small school gives him the job, they have a great season, then the big schools come calling. It's a big money sport, almost everything gets forgiven/glossed over eventually, if a company/university can make enough money off a guy. If he wants to coach for another 15 years, he might have those last 8 in a pretty big spot.
I don't really know college football all that well, I just figure if he says good for long enough, he's $$$$ to someone.

Yea, I was shocked they were throwing out names. He said from what he gathered, it’s all about who knew what as far as title ix , hence the outside names. He said there was talk it might be Grinch named as active until they sort it out because he just got there, but I guess Day was far enough removed from the incident.
