    William Hill not taking bets

So I have been using multiple sports betting sites and some of them have reduced the amount Im eligible to bet (Its not even big sums of money). Anyways, at William Hill im not allowed to place any bets anymore, It just says "Stake too high" even if I try to place a bet of just 1€.

What do you guys think about bookies doing this? Should they be able to pick their customer base however they want like this or should it be more like a "offer 1 offer all" kind of thing?
Anyone else had this happend to them before? Curious to see what you guys think

This is how it works pretty much everywhere. If they don't want your action they don't have to take it.

I've been 86ed or severely restricted from 2 books so far.

    Lol.... welcome to my life.

As I said in my Radio appearance with Druff on sports betting. This isn’t 20 years ago. Nobody wants a winner anymore. Online, local..... makes no difference. I you are a winner they are going to shit your ass down.

I guess you received this letter.

How much did you win before they banned you?

You could just open an account under a friend or relative.

As soon as you show a pattern of winning they will factor your acc down to the percentile.

You can go on somewhere like Blacktype where they take action regardless.

Most bookies are afraid to take a big bet from a monitored / potentially winning customer , as opposed to the traditional way of laying a bet then worrying about whether or not it needs covering.

I have never understood this . How many books are in Vegas? If a book shuts you off just have somebody else make the wager. This whole we don't want your action is funny.

I was friends with a big time player who was very well known at all the books . He got around all this nonsense by getting ghosts to make his plays . He had guys set up William Hill accounts . Also during NFL and College Football season he had runners stationed at books all over town. Now this was high risk behavior due to I know of two instances in one football season where he got ripped off by a runner for 50k and an account holder for 7k .

It didn't really seem to hurt his bottom line .

So there are ways around all this if you are doing this for a living .

Any thoughts around creating separate accounts on the same IP adress?

Of course they can check IP addresses.

Just setup a new account on different phone or computer on different IP address using another name.

Or just open another Sports betting account with another bookie.

Every single book in the world tracks the IP address of where they log on from. Even local books.

Only real hope is to find a mule.

I know some people who have purchased prop enabled accounts for cash. All the mules have to do is get the withdrwal and pay up.

I always beloved in the 50/50 method. We go in together and if it happens to go up in flames then we both have skin in the game.

After making that post I asked William Hill if they'd take a bet on sah_24 not understanding the very easy to read sarcasm joke.

Their reply was: "we're a Bookmaker, not a charity"
