Amazing.

Hanley and Yasiel Puig were the reason the Dodgers got themselves out of a losing season in June 2013 and won the NL West.

But I was glad the Dodgers didn't re-sign him for 2015. He got injured way too easily, and he was also prone to long slumps. He wasn't he consistent, injury-free, offensive force to which you would want to commit major resources. And his defense was terrible. He single-handedly ruined a Clayton Kershaw perfect game with a stupid error. I have no idea why Mattingly didn't take Ramirez out of the lineup in the late innings, and replace him with a capable SS.

Anyway, I laughed at the Red Sox when they signed Hanley for so much money, and laughed even harder when they gave that big contract to the perpetually-overrated Pablo Sandoval.

Hanley was one of those guys who had huge potential to put up HOF numbers, but he underachieved, despite some good seasons.

No MLB team is touching him, even for the MLB minimum, which shows that everyone's pretty much done with him. Even washed up Jose Bautista has gotten some chances this year.

I know it's been a few years but I think you might be forgetting just how dumb Aaron Hernandez was. Literally left his murder victim in plain sight less than a mile from his house and did a terrible job covering his tracks.

The Sawks released Hanley weeks ago “for baseball reasons”. He wasn’t touched by anyone. You don’t think the Astros could have used a DH? Everyone knew he was under Federal investigation but couldn’t say anything for legal reasons.

Hanley wanted to be “the man” is my guess. Some kind of gangsta that was pop culture a few years ago. Yeah, little bit of Hernandez.

Stupid, but baseball players are the dumbest of the professional athletes as a rule.

I vaguely remember when he came to the Dodgers he knew he sucked at defense and asked to play 3rd base, but the Dodgers told him he had to play shortstop, so hard to blame him for that.
