    Life's a beach

    Me doggie and I frequent a nearby beach regularly. On the way we pass an eagle's nest in a huge dead Douglas Fir.
    This is what we saw when we hit the beach.



    Pretty sure these are young balds. The nest we pass is that of a bald couple. Could be Golden Eagles but they are much more rare in these parts.
    Just a couple weeks back we were treated to three Sea Otters coming ashore on the same beach.

    I cant tell from the video, but as the bald eagle is usually found near bodies of water (sea sides, lakes, rivers) and eat mostly fish, your identification is probably right...

    meanwhile, golden eagles usually are found in mountainous area and nest in cliffs or high in tall trees
    (long before there was a PFA i had my Grenade & Crossbones avatar at DD)

    yep, makes sense, I've only seen one Golden Eagle and it was in the exact terrain you mentioned
