This is a tough table. Feels like a day 3 table, not a late day 1 table. Only 2 more hours with these guys. 30k at final break. #pfa13

Just laid down AK pre 3 ways because I thought I was either crushed or someone had my outs. Was correct -- AK and QQ other hands. The other AK doubled up his 26k stack. Ugh. Said he'd have folded if I 4-bet.I have 36800 still. #pfa13

Chased down when I had AK top pair, third club hit river. He tried to check raise me! Lolol. Didn't go for it. But down to 27k after losing to that flush. #pfa13

Short stack shoved on my 66 pre with 6900, he had JdTd. I called the additional 5100, flop QJJ, down to 21k. #pfa13

AA in SB versus 53 in BB. Flop is a bad 532, turn 2, river 8, and I win. Win next pot also to go up to 33k #pfa13

Tried to blind steal on final hand with my bracelet hand -- Td7d from late pos. Got three bet by guy to left, laid it down, he showed me Ad2d. Bagged 29,300 with 224 left. 28 from the money. Return tomorrow at 12pm. See you then. #pfa13

Still waiting for the after-day-1 reports to be released.

The day got off to a nice start, as I was up to 31k before the second break. Unfortunately, the rest of the day was a frustrating exercise in spinning my wheels.

My initial table, which was okay (not bad, not great) broke, and I got moved to a very tough one, where I remained until the end of the day.

    Three hands of note:

I got it all in with 88 against a shortstack on a Q777 board. He sheepishly turned over 55. I couldn't lose, and would win if anything but a Q fell. Guess what hit the river?

About 5 hands later, I had 22 in the cutoff. An aggro young guy in the SB had KQ but just called, and JC Tran called from the BB. Flop was a beautiful 2KK, and the turn was an even nicer 2. Needless to say, I doubled up, though I Hollywooded frustration/confusion/nervousness in case the guy was making a move without the K (I never raised him, and let him fire off). Obviously with the K he couldn't go anywhere.

The third interesting was in the second-to-last hour. The same aggro guy, now playing somewhat tighter, raised UTG to 1200. This meant he had a real hand, as I didn't see him open UTG with crap. A tight/aggressive Euro player 3-bet him to 4k. I looked down on the button to see AK. Ugh.

I had about 40k coming into the hand, the Euro had about 60k, and the UTG guy had about 26k.

I hated this spot because I figured they both had real hands, and that at least one of them probably had some of my outs. I didn't want to ship in all 40k and either be racing with outs missing, or already crushed against KK/AA. I decided to just flat. Then UTG shoved, and the Euro reshoved. I folded at this point.

    UTG had AK
    Euro had QQ

Flop came low, then turn K, river blank. UTG doubled up.

So I was right about outs missing.

UTG guy said he would have folded if I had 4 bet.

However, if the Euro just flatted my 4-bet, there's a good chance he would have blown me off of the ragged flop anyway. So the only way I would have won that hand would probably be if I shipped it, or if he allowed me to check behind on the rag flop.

I'm still happy I didn't overplay that one, because there were TWO people in the hand whom I gave credit for having premium holdings, and therefore AK was likely at a racing disadvantage. If it were just one person, I would have been more willing to gamble.

Anyway, I hope I get a better draw tomorrow.

    Well, the reports are in.

    Gustavo Hoyos Mexico City, , MX 40,000 Brasilia / 91 / 2
    Joel Ettedgi EDGWARE, UK 40,000 Brasilia / 91 / 3
    Kenneth Perry Syracuse, NY, US 67,400 Brasilia / 91 / 4
    Romain Lewis LATRESNE, France 83,300 Brasilia / 91 / 5
    Hoang Doan Huntington, WV, US 61,400 Brasilia / 91 / 6
    Peter Eichhardt Stockholm, Sweden 17,800 Brasilia / 91 / 7
    Todd Witteles LAS VEGAS, NV, US 29,300 Brasilia / 91 / 8
    Phong Than Nguyen Bristow, VA, US 12,000 Brasilia / 91 / 9

This is the last table listed, so it's probably either first or last to break. So I may not be there long.

Peter Eichhardt was at my table today (the tough one). He has a recent bracelet in $1500 NL Holdem. As I said, that table was tough.

Don't recognize the other names. Interestingly, 4 of the 8 players are foreign, and none are from the western US except for me.

    Here's the seating list: http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/reports/164...TS-BY-SEAT.pdf

Here's the list by chips: http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/reports/164...S-BY-CHIPS.pdf

    I'm 131/224.

    196 spots pay.

Case 7 would've also brought a chop no?

Interestingly, the guy with KQ, who was three-betting me a lot from the SB when I'd raise in late position, said he chose to just flat because I "looked frustated" over that Q777 hand and other losses I had taken there.

"You seemed so frustrated, I was afraid you were just going to ship it if I 3-bet you, and I couldn't call with KQ", he explained.

    So he just flatted.

Though I was probably calling his 3-bet with the 22 anyway, so it likely wouldn't have mattered.

Still I found it interesting that he chose to flat over fear that I would tilt-ship any 2 out of frustration.

JJ in middle position. I raise, seat 1 raises from late pos to 5800. I think about it and go all in. He pauses, thinks, checks his cards, and turns over AA! Wtf!!! I get mad about the slow roll & get my stuff on low flop. J turn!!! Justice!! Up to 61k #pfa13

The slow roller just busted. Table is insisting to me that he didn't slowroll and is just checking his cards. Maybe just seemed longer to me in the moment. I don't know. Just happy I won. Table breaking. #pfa13

Cutoff raised, I had 17k left, went all in with 66 on button. He turns over AA. Knew I wouldn't strike gold a second time and didn't. Out 150th for $2456. Last event until June 16. This account will go dark til then. #pfa13
