All 4 wheels stolen from car parked in Venetian Las Vegas parking lot

Last Sunday while playing the tournament, all the tires and wheels were stolen off my car with the car left on cinder blocks.

Today I spoke with Venetian Risk Management. Venetian claimed no responsibility and confirmed that there are no security cameras in the parking lot. When I asked how poker players should feel safe walking to their cars if they win a lot of cash, she said they should get a security escort.

It's more or less the reaction I expected but would have gone down better with a bit of compassion and empathy rather than a blunt refusal of responsibility or restitution.

In other news,I got the car towed and the tires replaced. Insurance moved pretty quickly. Insurance said they were not planning to go after The Venetian to recover my deductible. I field a police report but since Venetian just confirmed there is no surveillance footage, the best I can hope for is they catch them trying the same stunt on another car.

Do you have to pay for parking @ Venetian or is that only MGM & CET properties?

I know they do it in teams, but it blows me away how quickly they can do that to a car without being seen. That's like some ninja pit skills type of shit.

Wonder if they were just stock Honda rims, I feel like the aftermarket on those is pretty good.

What are the odds that the guy who reported this theft knew there were no cameras in that parking garage and arranged for some buddies to steal shitty ones he temporarily replaced high priced ones which he had receipts for? #IsItInsuranceFraud?

it is really hard to believe there are no cameras in the parking garage. really, really hard to believe.
