I installed FlashChat, which seems like a fairly good chat room.

Wasn't the easiest to integrate into vBulletin but I finally managed.

Give it a try. It's easy to find -- right on the top bar.

I'm flattered that you're building your website almost brick by brick after watching me for the last 2 years

Tydenation was (and is) a beautiful site that was designed carefully and with a lot of love

I do find it rather ironic that you are basically recreating what I did under another niche'

the chat rooms, the VBulletin, the whole business model in general of a 'uncensored' forum with a few concessions (such as banning habitual trolls, eliminating porn etc)

this is like a trip down memory lane for me

I don't expect you to give me any props for gift wrapping you a blueprint for success through my mistakes

But I did close Tydenation because I wasn't prepared to manage a message forum and babysit retards.

I wish you the best with your site, but I do think its time for you to acknowledge that as a 'computer science' major, you still know very little about building a website like this

you have zero design skills, you know nothing about VBulletin, and its painfully obvious that any 'computer skills' you possess have no relevance to website development.

I do find it funny that you are creating new threads about installing a free chat room which takes about 2 minutes to install lol

Even if I wanted to copy tydenation, I couldn't, because it's down. And I don't remember all that much about it other than the fact that it had a pretty front page and a generic-looking forum.

I don't even remember a chat room there. And if you think integrating that chat room into vBulletin is a 2-minute job, then you obviously weren't the one doing it.

You seem to want some sort of credit for your site being the basis of this one, but it's simply not true.

This is what I recall from the juggernaut known as tydenation:

- A pretty front page with a template ripped off from some other site
- A generic forum with a bunch of weird bugs and no custom features
- No chat room
- Radio was through blogtalk -- was definitely not integrated into tydenation

You are sounding like an ignoramous.

For example, there is no automatic plugin for this flashchat program. It's a process that takes several steps, and involves manually modifying various files, templates, and hooks.

For some reason, you are desperately wanting me to acknowledge you as some vBulletin expert while conceding that I have no clue what I'm doing and desperately need your help. This is simply not true.

I will give you credit for two things:

- You have improved a lot at photoshop and, while not at the level of 4Dragons or Vwls, are good enough to make some funny pictures. You also probably have the ability to do a decent job in other graphic-related tasks.

- You seem to be good at laying things out, from what I saw on tydenation, though I don't know how much of that was stolen from another site.

However, I'm NOT going to give you credit for being able to do what I've done with this site by yourself. If you could, you would have been broadcasting a real radio show, and not been resorting to terrible blogtalkradio.

I am not looking to start a fight here, either, but this condescending tone of yours is getting annoying, and it seems to come out every time I announce that I've added or changed something.

Marty never had a chat room on any of his forums lol. He also never had a site with more than 5 members consistently posting. Marty also sucks pretty bad at photoshop. I've seen one funny one and the rest are poorly executed abortions. Half the shops he posts are made by someone else.
