    Jack Casino Cincinnati Marked cards!

An issue came up at Jack casino about 3-4 weeks ago when we came in to play poker at Jack casino in Cincinnati, the dealers were all hand shuffling one deck of cards. Usually when hand shuffling they still use 2 decks of cards but only swap decks every half hour, this time they only had one deck.

I asked the dealers what was going on that said they weren’t sure they were told to hand shuffle. This went on for more than a week, so I asked the floor man what was going on he said they had an issue with the cards they received and couldn’t use the “red” decks and were waiting on new cards.

After further investigation the problem turns out to be much worse, turns out a player at Jack Cincinnati named Bob (I’ll withhold last name) went to the casino management a few months ago and informed them that the “red” deck of cards are marked in a way from the manufacture that he could see what every card was. They told him they have no evidence of this and dismissed him. He went back to them again a couple weeks later and told them they need to correct the issue, again he was dismissed by Jack Casino. He then went to the Ohio gaming commission who got involved they brought in the manufacture which I believe is Copag from Italy. So Jack then had a meeting with Bob and the Card manufacture and poker room managers, Bob proved he could in fact tell what the cards are so they pulled all the “red” decks from play. Rumor has it they won’t have replacement decks until June in the meantime they still hand shuffle.

I haven’t heard if Jack Cleveland has the same issue.

I haven’t had the chance to talk with Bob directly about his account but my sister did and thanked him for taking care of this. She did speak with him about the facts according to her this took over a month to resolve.

Any way we could possibly see the pictures of the back of this? I wonder if this could be some sort of edge sorting or if they actually "marked"
Facts, reality, brains cannot defeat him.

Bob deserves a massive bounty - even if he profited off it.

I guarantee he is not black or mexican. They would try to milk it until the party ended. So he has to be some white hipster, probably with a neck beard.
    Bob = pussy.

Interesting. This is my "regular" casino. However I've not been there for the last 2 weeks.

I know several of the dealers there personally and will try to get some more inside info.

I have lived in Cincinnati my whole life and have always felt some shady stuff has been going on at JACK. I haven’t been there since the JPO a few months back.

To be fair - they probably would of figured out a way to fuck it up and caught in like a day.

    Pretty disturbing.

Why didn't Bob offer to prove this to casino management?

Or did he offer, and they still dismissed him?

If that's what happened, they should be fired immediately.

He first told a dealer where he started calling the cards coming off the deck, the dealer called the floor over they replaced the deck. The replacement deck was ok. Sometime in the near future he noticed it again told a poker room manager/floor person they did nothing, he then had to call the gaming commission. As i understand it was a new batch of cards that are fowled the previous decks weren't so when they got mixed in with old decks it wasn't every deck.

I agree someone should get in trouble.

Visiting Jack Cincy as we speak for the first time since hearing about this.

They use a blue deck & a red deck. Not sure what brand (failed to ask). Basically all of 1 of the colors were cut in a way that certain cards could be identified. This was all figured out by 1 guy, whose actual job is to pay attention to pay attention to small defects...not sure exactly for what but the guy worked for proctor and gamble.

Basically he could identify each of the aces in the deck and started calling them out. He did this to several different decks, so management pulled all of those decks and had them replaced. It took approx 4-6 weeks for tbem to get the replacements, therefore the dealers had to hand shuffle for all that time
