    **In Vegas 5/17 - 5/20 -- Need lodging suggestions**

I'm heading to Vegas on 5/17 and leaving 5/20 for a dealer audition at The Wynn. This is somewhat of an unexpected trip.

I'm really not finding anything cheaper than $200/night for hotel stay. Anybody have any suggestions for how to find a cheaper place to stay, or can hook a fellow PFAer up?

AirBnB and VRBO are no help either.

    Renaissance Las Vegas

I'm showing the AAA prepaid rate is $64/night right now if you prepay, plus a $23.50/night resort fee. Property has no casino but is well reviewed.

However, you should call them to book because the website is acting all screwy right now and charging way more than the rate it's showing.

I would advise taking a screen shot of the rate and then calling the property itself and asking them to honor it. You can even walk the manager through the process of seeing it himself.

I would call AAA directly, not the hotel directly...correct?

Fuck weekends in Vegas. I'm doing Sun-Thurs in June, staying mid strip, and paying less than $100/night total with all fees
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

No, AAA has nothing to do with this.

You need to call the property directly. Don't select "reservations" on the menu, or you will get some fail national reservations center with no power.

The local front desk manager in Vegas can probably honor this for you. Just go on the website, screen shot the rate (where it says $64/night), and then call the property and ask for the manager. Be very polite and tell him/her that you are attempting to book at the rate shown online, but it inexplicably keeps coming up with the wrong total. Clarify several times that you ARE aware of the $23.50 resort fee, but that even with that, the total is still way off. Ask for them to honor the $64+tax+resort fee rate, and offer to walk them through the process of finding this on the website in case they don't believe you.

In general, hotel front desk managers are nice/helpful and will give you the benefit of the doubt when this shit occurs. In fact, I've had it where they give me even MORE than I ask for, such as honoring the rate and upgrading me, too, but obviously never ask for this or you'll look like an ingrate.

I suggest you enjoy yourself and not worry about saving a few bucks. How often are you in Vegas anyway. Stay at the Wynn or MB.

Not sure why people ask about hotels on this site, at least in regards to price or location. Just go to Kayak.com, put in your search results and go to price 'low to high' in the drop down box and you will get every hotel you want in sequential price order.

Stay at Treasure Island. Not owned by fail Caesars or scummy MGM. Very close to the Wynn.

Stratosphere might be worse. At least they have a topless pool though
