Sad to see him go. He paved the way for lots of Indy radio guys. Alex Jones might be a nobody without him. But he had so much more class than Alex and always acted respectful. He was an extremely. Composed host for a show that dealt with nothing routine.

That show has kept me awake many a nights driving at 4AM. If you had a hours drive in front of you, and were out in the middle of nowhere trying to avoid ending up in a ditch, if there was only one station with good reception, it would almost always be The Art Bell show. The guys greatest legacy is him and his loon callers probably prevented 10k traffic fatalities.

This. I used to turn on Coast to Coast AM when I had to make the drive back from the Daytona Poker Room to my place in Orlando. Usually it was George Noory doing the show because he was being passed the torch, but they'd regularly play older Art Bell shows when George took a day off.


I just hope there's some conspiracy involving his death.
