A lot of the Muslim chicks here do the half their head covered, but you can still see a lot of hair, thing. Not really sure what the point is.
I mean, if it is a social norm to wear the headscarf and you don't really want to or don't really buy into the whole Muslim women is worth half a man thing, I could see just covering enough to get by.
But I assume most of the chicks here that do it aren't being forced in any way and it is personal preference, so why only do it halfway? Either you believe you should cover your hair or you don't.
On a related note, I am always perpetually amazed and amused at the amount of cognitive dissonance involved when Muslim chicks here proclaim they wear the headscarf as an act of feminism or in solidarity with the feminist movement.
i paid just a little over $5.oo for that 50/50 oxford on the target clearance rack. i was willing to compromise it not being a button down collar in lieu of the price.
