Deeper stacks probably for the sweet 16

Its hard enough to get 32 matches going let alone make them deeper.

I copied this structure from a poker site. There were hypers, turbos and reg structure. This is the reg sngo hu structure

Unless you are doing a best of 17 even deeper stacks will not make a huge difference. But if you do plan to change the format I'd suggest deciding by the end of the first round. Otherwise could look like favouritism if rules are arbitrarily added as the tourney goes on.

The committee just had an urgent vote and have decided to keep the same structure for the duration of the tournament.

However this is how it will play out per round

Round of 32 - Still 2 out of 3
Sweet 16 Still will be 2 out of 3

Elite 8 Will move to 3 out of 5
Final 4 Will be 3 out of 5

Final Match Will be a best 4 out of 7

I think the entire field is pretty close. Lots of coin flips. Not much edge for the better posters. Anyone is capable of winning a series.

I think if we gave deeper stacks , edges would be bigger to the more skilled posters vs these quicker matches

We already had a 1 and a 3 seed go down today as well so it shows the higher seeds can lose on any given day


But if it is overwhelming the field wants 2 of 3 throughout I can get it to the committees table for review. But id like to see some cinderellas dancing taking on the big boys
