best recourse If chips get stolen while your in the bathroom?

This happened to some one I know recently. What is the best thing to do if someone steals a black chip or 2 when your in the restroom? Assuming they left promptly after.

Hopefully your friend immediately called security.
What casino was this at? Depends on how competent their security is. Also, how big was stack? Hopefully the thief thought your friend wouldn't notice a couple chips missing and assumes he got away with it.
Assuming security is able to confirm the theft, my guess is they will wait for him to hopefully return and confront him then.
If your friend is a regular, tell him to ask other regs to keep an eye out for thief and call him/let security know if he returns. They might give him an ultimatum - repay the funds and get banned or don't return the funds, get banned and arrested.
I think the only way your friend will get his money back is if the thief returns it to casino security. I've heard of this happening many times in the past and the Casino never makes victim whole for fear of getting free rolled by one guy fake-robbing another.
