    Essential Albums (In your opinion)

Post just ONE album that you believe everyone should listen to...

Mine is Rage against the machines debut album. IMO it is their best album and is truest to their style. Production value is amazing and there isn't one song that I skip, which is the mark of a great album. Even if you dont agree with their message and trust me I dont agree with a lot of it, it doesn't stop me from listening and enjoying the excellent musicianship. I really respect a band that has no filters and defies the mainstream and no band did it better than RATM.

The VH1 Classic Albums episode on this was pretty cool too, possibly because of the dirt nap but nevertheless

Tribe Called Quest, Led Zep, Johnny Cash, and Bill Hicks I approve of.... Metallica and GNR on the other hand I find to be shit bands, but thats just me.

and Mumford and Sons does not even belong in this thread, but your entitled to your own opinion I guess... Only goofy unintelligent white kids in the New England area seem to enjoy that band.

Every Led Zeppelin album, and every Pink Floyd album ever made. Metallica The Black Album and also M of P are musts as well. But in most cases, you don't need an entire album - just one or two songs from an album to complete your collection of Essential Music.

I actually saw them in Toronto at Skydome in 2003 and they opened the show with Battery. One spotlight on Hammett with an acoustic guitar playing that riff and them all hell broke loose. Theye didn't even try to play anything off that shitty St. Anger album, it was all old school fucking mayhem

Great choice 408... ratm and tool have a lot in common since both came up in the LA area. Maynard is actually on Know Your Enemy.
