i still giggle every time I hear the Muncy name.

Still pretty amazing that Muncy was a career minor leaguer who no one wanted in 2017, and even the Dodgers didn't promote him at all that year.
All he did in 2018 was lead baseball in HR per plate appearance, and walk enough to make a .391 OBP..
Druff, here is what was written about Muncy when the A's released him::
A's release Muncy, Rodriguez
ByMelissa Lockard Apr 3, 2017
When Max Muncy made his major league debut with the Oakland A's on April 25, 2015, he became the first member of the A's 2012 draft class to reach the big leagues with Oakland. During the 2015 and 2016 seasons, the A's 2012 fifth-round pick played 96 games with the A's. However, after hitting just .195 during those 96 games, Muncy was removed from the 40-man roster in January. He remained with the organization as a non-roster player and was an invitee to big league camp. With the A's crowded in the infield in the upper levels, Muncy's path to regular playing time with Nashville this season was blocked. Over the weekend, Muncy's time with the A's organization came to an end, as the A's released him.
Muncy figures to get plenty of interest on the open market despite his struggles at the plate in the big leagues. He has a career .375 OBP in 450 minor league games and had a 20:24 BB:K during his big league stint with Oakland last year. Originally a first baseman, Muncy has significantly increased his defensive versatility over the past two years, regularly seeing time at first, third, second and in the corner outfield.
Muncy will be 26 until late August. During his time in the A's organization, he hit 25 homers and drove-in 100 in 2013 and won a Double-A title ring while leading the Texas League in walks in 2014. He has also been a positive clubhouse presence every level he has played at.

cliffs: The A's were overstocked in the infield...Muncy had some success in college and the minor leagues, so a team with ample finances could afford to take a chance on him (e g Dodgers)
I believe the sabermetric folks claim one the best predictors of major league batting success is strike zone knowledge (walk percentage)...Muncy minor league stats were strong at that
Druff, better not send Stan Katz your resume

LOL he struck out fckin bum wanna be thug
game 4 might be over after that

How Roberts has a job is beyond me.
How Madson is still in the MLB is beyond me.
Pathetic.
I knew this guy was a bum 14 yrs ago when he tried to come over the wall to beat the shit out of me when he played for the Phillies.
Lets take out Hill who had a one hitter for some bum named Alexander lol then put in Madson.
Roberts can suck a dick and thats what he must be doing to still have a job.
Bring back Donnie baseball.
Now we have to sweat the pace maker coming in and all this other bs because this coach is borderline retarted

Joe Kelly makes me wanna get a Joe Kelly Jersey, but then I realize my entire body would be engulfed in flames due to spontaneous combustion so I will refrain.
Roberts bringing in scrub after scrub like its a Tuesday in May
Roberts has mismanaged pitching the entire series.
If I was Hill I grab a bat and beat the fck out of Roberts with it.
He cost this poor guy a ws win.
Hill is capable and Im sure he is thinking about doing just that. Guy has a hair trigger temper
Hill should of never came out of the game in the 7th. Especially if you were bringing in another lefty
Well, that's that.
Dodgers aren't wining 3 in a row against the Red Sox, with 2 in Boston.
Looks like I may have seen the only win for the Dodgers in this series.
Glad I decided to go yesterday (which was less convenient) as opposed to today.
In before Druff says he should have battled it out and went to game 4 too after that long marathon last night.
Lets be honest here.
Had the Yankees face the Dodgers, they would have done the same damage.
