    is COINBASE a scam???

OK so I just completed a cashout for 3K from sportsbook.... by the time i check my blockchain tonight I have $2,960 ....

meh somehow 40 bucks disappeared but what are u gonna do, bitcoin is weird and i think it went down slightly over the course of the day....

next step is ship it to Coinbase.... after about 1.5 - 2 hours it shows up there and I have now have $2,925 left lol...

keep in mind blockchain charged me like 40 cents to send it out

OK so now I start feeling like i'm getting fucked in the ass.....

but wait after hitting all the buttons to sell the shit and coinbase tacking on their fee of like 45 bucks (plus some other weird hidden fee that just didnt even appear) it says that $2,865 will be put into my bank account on Tuesday 3/13/2018

LOL so besides fucking me out of over 100 bucks they are not even going to cough up my money for almost a whole week

theres gotta be some better bitcoin shit out there than this....!!! problem is, long ago I already subjected myself to jumping through all the hoops to:

    verify identity

    link bank account

    link debit card , etc

now i guess i will jump thru all said hoops again, but what site should i do it with ?

You just had bad luck. The coins tanked while they were in your possession. The problem with sending to coinbase is that you have to wait 3 to 6 confirmations before you can sell them. Open an account with Gemini.com, you can dump your coins immediately after you broadcast the transaction. They will charge you 0.25% when you sell or buy.

OK apparently I already had a Gemini account (don't remember making one)

but...when I log in it wants an authentication code sent via text message...

problem is I no longer have that phone number....

Keep in mind when you sell on coinbase you're also selling on the ask/sell spread. The "price" you see on coinbase is actually their mid, but when you go to buy or sell the prices are off because they're making a spread on you (google bid/ask for basic understanding). So yea, you're seeing 2900 in your account(the mid) but when you go to sell that your "ask" is going to be something like 2800 whereas if you go to buy the "bid" is going to be 3k.

    gemini > coinbase
I started to open a gemini account..

They directed me to download an app..

What is that gemini token there talking about?

    I dont get it???

I opened a coinbase account but havnt funded it.. I read about the buy and sell price and the spreas ect ect.

Just like buying numismatics, coinbase the money changer will makw your money disapear with that spread on both ends..

Gemini sounds like the right one for me and has druff endorsement(kinda)
