After a surprisingly warm winter in Los Angeles, the cold has arrived, and will be here for at least 2 weeks.
It was below freezing last night/morning in many parts of southern CA, including where I am.
For the next 2 weeks or so, the high in the LA area will be in the 50s and the low in the 30s.
There will be a storm around February 28/March 1, and it will still be cold. Parts of southern CA, including where I am, might see snow on March 1.
Last night at midnight PST, it was colder in LA than it was in Detroit, New York City, Buffalo, Boston, and Chicago.
Las Vegas will have similar weather and might also see some snow during this period.
As I type this, it is in the upper 30s outside.
This is the coldest LA has been since December 2015, when it got down to 26 at my house.
