Sonatine's 401k is going to go donkdown

The stock market has been following Bitcoin with about a 2 month lag. Bitcoin topped off mid December, so expect Sonatine's 401k to peak mid-February. Lets see how dumb this post looks in a few years.

With all due respect, this is the stupidest thing you've said.

Most of what you've said I agree with. You've stated many times you believe BTC is a bad long term investment and you've got in and out, and taken profits.

But this is just nonsense. Though if BTC does implode it surely will effect other legitimate markets.

Thanks. The beanie baby bubble coincided with the dot com stock market bubble. Risk appetite was so off the charts that people were paying $2000+ for a worthless doll. This crypto market kind of reminded me of it. Hot stock market, risk appetite high and people pouring cash into coins which are most likely worthless. Just a hunch. Coins crashing signal a decrease in risk appetite which will probably spread to the stock market. If Sonatine can say Bitcoin is donkdown at $200, I can do something similar.

Yeah I know what you mean, but no matter what anyone says sonatine can claim tenth level oracle mojo as he called it so early.

Seriously though, the bitcoins are donkdown thread has turned into the best bitcoin discussion on the interwebs by a long margin.

but seriously was there _any_ doubt that someone was going to have a hugely public meltdown over btc deflating here?

All analyses I've seen have showed very spurious correlations between Bitcoin and market indexes. Would be interested to see your proof.

I think the market could be at, nearing, or even past the top. But using some correlation to BTC is really dumb.

    Hello darkness, my old friend.
I’ve come to talk to you again.

    You’re the resident psychologist.

It would be difficult to show the correlation because we haven’t seen public sentiment (risk appetite) as anything but fearless.

People have long forgotten what pain feels like.

The theory he promotes is that sentiment might be shifting and BTC is a leading indicator given that this is an extreme example of pure gamble. Ok, Ponzi scheme.

Sentiment always shifts in all markets. It’s what makes capitalism great. That we started from such an extreme low (2008 threat of depression) allowed us to rally for sooooo long. We’ve forgotten pain.

The public has an incredible ability to forget.

I have been blessed with the unique trait that allows me to be miserable and negative in all markets and most
social situations. It’s a gift but I also put in the effort.

The chart is sick. You really can't pull back now because this just could be a pause to hit 35k.

You can't even really start to entertain selling until S&P 2700

You can’t stop until the chart confirms a reversal. Gotta be disciplined.

I’m the Amazon trader so I know the sickness and the danger well. I’ve taken some shots short but if I’m not careful I’ll end up broke.

My Home Depot puts are up 500% on the week. Enough to pay for the mental hospital visits.
