but anyone manufacturing ASIC processors should be given a lot of credit.

short uber maybe? they just got absolutely rape-choked by google for a quarter billion and an apology in court like today. they have never had a profitable quarter to my knowledge and from what im hearing about a lot of their skunkworksesque tech initiatives, they probably never will.
Is Sonatine the only person on this planet that doesn't know that Uber is a private company?

The only investment in my portfolio cuurently is: ETFMG ALTERNATIVE HARVEST ETF, which is down 25% for a net loss of $233

However, I am still up a healthy amount overall in this sector.

Banks will come in and support the stk as they will have to fill many orders (long & short) but let's be real here... noone will be shocked if they let it drop a bit before trading. This IPO should have been millions in fees and banks have provided them bridge loans / term loans / financing through 3rd parties at discounts to garner favor. The fact that they basically said FU to all those banks could lead to an interesting listing. Could also be BAU, but we're watching.
ECM desk managers around the world just cried a little. They just saw billions of fees evaporate before thier very eyes that many don't see yet.

While he prob didn't know, you can trade uber shares in the secondary OTC market... but goodluck doing it as an individual investor. Unsure if you would find someone to lend you the secondary shares to sell, but can be done so he was right... in theory.

I dealt in WEED stock not the actual commodity.

However that being said it likely would be a good investment to easily triple some cash.

I might have misread then, I thought I saw a headline from someone along those lines saying demand for GPUs for mining was still very much a thing.

THAT SAID I also just found out that Artificial Intelligence is incredibly GPU intensive, so lets put a pin in any comments I may have made about shorting GPU market any time soon..

Literally had a limit order at 174.50 for AAPL the other day when the market was going down and the price was 174.58...then dickhead Warren Buffett starts yapping about how great apple is and they bought 75 million shares...now its at 190...blah

Any CRISPR stocks worth checking out?

I always understood that NVDA was just your code for Bitcoins are DD,

Trying to absorb NVDA’s decline after hours despite the tremendous report.

The Street hates surprises and crypto was a surprise to them NOT YOU.

A steep slowdown in demand from cryptocurrency miners is tempering enthusiasm for what in many ways is a strong Nvidia (NVDA - Get Report) earnings report.

Nonetheless, shares fell 2.9% in after-hours trading to $252.55. They sold off after CFO Colette Kress stated on Nvidia's earnings call that July quarter sales of products meant specifically for cryptocurrency miners would be around one-third of an April quarter level of $289 million (9% of Nvidia's total revenue).
    .

I think NVDA will be just fine. Pent up gaming demand, AI and especially Datacenter.

I am viewing this as opportunity and will prolly be playing with some Calls when some panic sets in or bargain hunters show up. It’s a mistake.

I understand there was crossover between crypto and gamers GPU’s. Tough to tell where demand came from. Gaming just grows and grows. Crypto was just seed starter fertilizer.

Huawei exec's arrest sends shudders through stock markets
    https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/06/inves...est/index.html

On the heels of -800 Tuesday this hits the papers. Futures look sick

The China trade negotiations are gonna get all cramped up.

    Really, really interesting

I may not sleep til tomorrow night. The big game just got seated and it’s gonna be an action junkies dream

In the back of your head remember that bonuses are paid on year end performance. We always see a little manipulation to help our friends. So you will have those who will see tankage as an miraculous Hail Mary to buy at steep discounts after a rinse.

Run up after tomorrow could heal a lot of wounds

That’s the other side. See who wins.

The inverted yield curve may not even get mention tomorrow. The spread between short- and long-term Treasury yields has dropped below zero ahead of each of the past seven recessions.

    Thanks Obama.

A senior Huawei executive whose arrest in Vancouver at the request of the United States has caused an international incident has been granted bail in exchange for $7-million in cash and $3-million in collateral, a judge has ruled.
Meng Wanzhou will be required to wear a GPS monitor, must be under surveillance by a security company at all times and must confine her movements to Vancouver, Richmond and the North Shore.
Justice William Ehrcke of the Supreme Court of British Columbia concluded he is satisfied Ms. Meng, a well-educated businesswomen with letters of reference, does not pose a flight risk.
He said he accepts as part of her conditions $3-million in collateral from five Vancouver residents and a $7-million cash deposit from Ms. Meng and her husband.
