Cuckolding is a fantasy I never understood. But putting my own feelings aside, I think the article is full of shit and I don't believe the statistics they claim.

Supposedly 58% of men and 33% of women have had cuckolding fantasies.

The 58% of men seems high, but the 33% of women seems EXTREMELY high.

Cuckolding is something that just about zero women are into, because it involves humiliating their man, which turns off almost all women.

There are a fair number of women out there who fantasize about gangbangs, MMF threesomes, etc, but these fantasies place the woman's male partner as an equal to the other men present, and do not involve the humiliation of him. That's a huge difference from cuckolding.

I also feel that acting on this would be far more likely to hurt than help a relationship, as it would lead to either jealousy on the part of the male partner, or the female partner simply losing all respect for her man, who is essentially giving his woman to another guy because he sees himself as not good enough. The article oddly makes the case that doing this would be good for the relationship.

Every woman I've ever spoken to about their feelings about cuckold stuff has been disgusted by it, even ones who have had group sex/swinging/gangbang/etc fantasies.

I think the people doing these "studies" simply confused group sex/swinging/cheating fantasies with cuckold fantasies, and that's how they came to these BS stats being quoted.

I skimmed the article. The authors never give a particularly clear definition of cuckolding. Also, it isn't clear whether up to 33% of women fantasize about having sex with other men degrading their partner (which is what you are assuming) or they fantasize about their mate having sex with other women in a manner that degrades them.

I have a feeling in their questionnaires the authors weren't very clear about what cuckolding is and/or were more liberal in their interpretation of answers. If you explicitly asked women "Do you fantasize about having sex with another man in front of your man to humiliate hm" than the number would be much lower than 33% (probably closer to 3%), but I doubt that is what they asked. I am sure the questionnaire is something ambiguous and confusing and the authors are taking liberties in analyzing the data so it fits their agenda.
