Yeah so The Situation is going to jail for up to 15 years

Tax shit. Made 9m usd between 2010 and 2012 and tried to get slick with his brother by overdeclaring nonsense and shuffling it around bank accounts.

    Pills were a factor.

Spent the last 5 years trying to negotiate a fine. IRS had other ideas. The plea deal on the table is 15 years for him and 25 for his brother.

Fun fact, you can murder someone in a drug deal and be out in like 7.

Sounds like one of those situations where he wasn't rich enough to get away with what he was trying to do. If he was, he could have hired an accounting and legal team to make sure he never saw the inside of a jail cell. Probably would have found a way for him to do what he was trying to do legally.

Gregg Mark prepared their taxes and plead guilty a long time ago.

The conspiracy charge to which Mark pleaded guilty carries a statutory maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for March 24, 2016.

I can't seem to find it in a quick google. Wonder if he ratted them out.

Income tax on $9 million is worth a hell of a lot more than some random drug dealers life.

His plea deal is 15 years in prison??? What would have happened to him if he took this to trial and lost? Death Penalty?

The irs purposely does this to celebrities so that all the sheep ( general population) don’t think about cheating on their taxes . It works . He really fucked himself because after the fact he tried to cover it up even while under investigation . 15/25 years is ridiculous though.

I refuse to believe he took a plea where he doesn't know exactly how long it will be and that it is nowhere near 15 years.

i think those articles are stating what the maximum sentence could be, but not the terms of the deal he agreed to with the DOJ.

in theory, i think the court could ignore the deal and sentence him to whatever, but that never happens cause no one would ever agree to a plea deal if that was the norm.

The entire internet said what Sonatine said. Some take it even farther. Most headlines are literally "Sorantino agrees to 15 years" I'm not trying to be out here arguing with Sonatine for fucks sake.
