As a rule of thumb the most money is made when Vegas puts a favorite on sale by a few points and the public piles into them only to have them not cover. High success rate for books with This concept and is most commonly how Vegas makes money on sides. What has a higher success? When Vegas gives the perception of too many points and the public piles into the underdog. Public backed underdogs rearely end well. "Public backed underdog" is really a contradiction.
