Keith Jackson was one of the greatest play by play men in history. He's the reason Michigan Stadium is known as the Big House and the Rose Bowl is the granddaddy of them all. I also appreciated his attention to line play. He had an amazing career. He made any game bigger just by being there.

I just noticed a weird kind of racism in my way of thinking: When reading the name "Keith Jackson" and his association with football, I had the inpression you were mentionig a balck dude. To my surprise, the Keith Jackson who just died was, in fact, whiter than white!

I must have been under a rock lately, I didn’t know about this. Loved Keith Jackson’s game calls, particularly when he would call the linemen “big uglies”.
There is a black Tom Jackson who was originally a football player and then worked at ESPN doing football stuff for 30 years before recently retiring.
