Flu Season

So friday morning i awoke with a very slight cough, as the day went on muscle aches, and by 230 pm i was done and had to leave work early. Was in bed by 3pm. Was up from 6p to 9p. Not up again until saturday noonish. Up till 2, back to bed until 6, up to midnight ish. Slept till 1030ish today feeling some better. Decided I would risk going to Costco for NYD dinner fixins at my sisters. Couldnt pass by Costcos 1.99 pizza since I didnt eat much of anything since friday. Big mistake. Stopped at Giant Eagle on way home and shat myself. Flu shot is only 10% effective this year. I think overall it does a body good to get this every 5 years or so to boost immune system. So, spending NYe with pups sipping Baileys for my cough and wont prob make it till midnight. Wish all a happy healthy new year.

It may be only 10 percent effective but it does seems to drastically reduce the duration and agony of having it. It is anecdotal but i know a few families that got the flu this year, and the one person in each family that didnt get the flu shot was much sicker than the others. I believe it is 10 percent at best because i know a ton of people that got the flu shot but still got the flu.

I have a theory and have lived by it for many years.

I have not had a flu shot in over 30 years. What I have done though is made sure everyone in my immediate circle and second ring have had one. I avoid shaking hands with strangers, touching handles etc in public places and only shop in Asian districts since most wear the masks.

Flu free for 30 years and no flu shot.

I also take the same approach with birth control.
