Im curious
It crushes the upper middle class, benefits the poor and super rich.
Overall it simplifies the tax code but didn’t go far enough. Still too many loopholes, would like to see a fairer tax code.
Also lol that Republicans keep promoting it as a tax cut when it actually raises taxes in the long run (which is why I think Democrats are only going minimal obstructionist on it).
It is the greatest fraud in the history of our country.
Is there anything positive to say about the bill? I certainly haven't heard anything.
Not being able to deduct state income tax on your federal return is wonderful. Americans living in non state income tax states have been subsidizing you long enough. Time to start paying your fair share big blue state liberals
Cutting the business tax rate will increase business spending. GDP could hit 5% late next year. All these cellar dwelling millennials can put their Humanities degrees to use & get jobs, move out & start paying off their student loans. Maybe that's why so many of them are against the tax cuts to begin with,
Uh, no, this is, you clumsy fuck:

I never thought I'd live to see the day where there would be a fight to schedule to start BEFORE the hockey guy vs. big dick fight.
I think the bill is sad. Also I have the best words
I think it's funny that they actually added brackets to income tax.
I think we're all gonna get fucked.
Well not all but most

we are the rabbit
In what way does it simplify the code?
I think one of the "benefits" to Democrats is that it will ultimately raise taxes on upper middle wage earners so they won't have to when they take over. It's going to be pretty easy for the Dems to sell a stimulus package that spends on infrastructure with offsets that include cap gains and estate tax hikes on Mr. Monopoly.
re: simplifying -- per testimony given during the Senate hearings, the Tax Cut and Jobs Act will increase the percentage of tax filers using the standard deduction to over 90% of filers from the current 70% rate...thus for many taxpayers it simplifies tax preparation by removing the burden of itemizing (Schedule A)...the rest of the code is just a complex as ever: we still have the rules for passive activity, collapsing corporations, the alt min tax, etc...
re: what i think of it -- i don't buy the idea that reduced tax rates will result in enough taxable income growth to more that offset revenue loss caused by lower rates...but the federal government spending is out of control, and i see starving the beast with reduced revenues as the only way to control spending---a fiscal crisis or severe monetary inflation is coming
