Same thing over and over, wake up Sunday morning and recreate the last 24 hours, usually big losses. One Friday night I won $7,500 and Sunday morning I was down $5,000, that was the worst.
The issue with gambling and Vodka is you cannot get out of it. Listen to me now. You lose, and you drink more and you mow through your bank account. There were times when I was pumping $1000 into Party Sit and Go's knowing I was going to get wiped out no matter what table I sat down at. Full Tilt was even worse with cash games I was blown out. When you are hammered on your couch you get so bold, unshaven and unshowered, not returning calls all weekend. I was a party animal in my 20s and people were knocking on my door wondering what was with me, I was just not answering, not going out just depositing.
I broke the cycle by heading to AA for a couple months in 2008, about the time Neteller and payment processors were banned. Who knows if it would have stuck if Neteller was still in business but after UIGEA I just decided I had enough. I did experiment in some casinos and still do time to time, but nowhere near where I was at during the height of online poker. Like 5% of previous.
At AA, a member emailed me this link below, it was 2008 before texting took off so it was really just emails. I must have listened to this 100 times, even a former NWP poster thanked me for the link, said it help him get clean.
The below is a life save when you are struggling:

Thanks. But AA isn't for me.
I'm just over 5 years no booze and life couldn't be better. good luck man!
have you ever thought about being a man and having control over your own mind and body
AA Meetings can seem very cult-ish depending on the meeting format and the people that regularly attend. But the meetings are not the program of recovery that is detailed in the book.
Yeah pete we're all tired of all the real life stories & your humble contributions.
You know what we're not tired of though, somebody starting multiple dupes to keep telling us about what a big loser he was until he turned it around is is now traveling the world in luxury because he's 1M liquid.
We prefer being lied to. Trust me on this, I know what I'm talking about.

It's amazing to me how stuck up a childless person must be to actually think their drinking or not drinking matters to anyone. Oh golly gee so and so stopped drinking stop the presses. So and so stopped drinking oh heavens me I can't believe he's still a faggot it's unreal. Just a way more self righteous boring faggot. I can't believe it. I thought it would totally chang him.
