Time to throw caution to the wind and put the Facebook-style chat back

I put this up in March and it resulted in endless and unending internal server errors, which persisted even after I took that feature down. (This also means that it wasn't the only culprit.)

However, this server is more robust, plus I have more control over it. We have not had any memory problems, so I will once again give it a shot and put back the Facebook-like IM chat. Look for it very soon.

I do have a concern that it could crash radio (as it did to DD), so maybe I'll run a test by doing a +EV show soon.

How does the chat crash radio? Does it just have to do with too many programs running at once?

I want to have a test radio show before putting it up, because I don't want our "test" to be the Druff, Drexel, and Vwls Show.

Just disable the feature during radio.

Surely you can put that into the script that starts radio. Then re-enable it in the script that archives radio. ez game.
