David Baazov Insider Trading Trial Still Set for Nov 20?

    Is the trial still on?
Sept 2016 article but pretty good. I recco the lawsuit & crime section of the below link, lots of interesting stuff the US media buries.

Former Amaya Gaming CEO David Baazov Involve In Kickback Scheme, Watchdog Says
In what is called “the biggest insider trading investigation in Canadian history”, Quebec’s securities watchdog, Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) said it has uncovered a system of insider trading involving former Canadian Amaya Gaming Inc. CEO David Baazov, La Presse reports on Wednesday.

    https://www.casino.org/news/ex-amaya...-alleged-fraud
    Shocking Forged Signature Allegations
Baazov announced his intention to take Amaya private at the beginning of 2016, before a string of insider trader charges forced him to resign from his executive roles in the company, which is now known as The Stars Group.
The charges appeared to have buried the bid, too, until Baazov resurfaced in November of last year with a $6.7 billion proposal that included financing from Dubai-based KBC Aldini Capital Ltd., according to documents filed to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
    Forged Signature

But just days later, an angry Kalani Lal, chief executive of KBC, told the UK’s Globe and Mail that he had never heard of Amaya, and that there had been no negotiations with Baazov whatsoever.
    LOL WTF!

DAVID BAAZOV NEVER AMAYA MAJORITY SHAREHOLDER SAYS FINANCIAL REGULATOR
According to the latest revelations in the ongoing court case against Amaya CEO David Baazov, the Canadian entrepreneur was merely a puppet at the helm for his older brother Joshua and was never the true majority shareholder of the business.

FTR I've been a critic of Pokerstars before it was cool. I felt the Scheinbergs got a free pass for the billions of dollars they permanently siphoned from the poker economy while the Scott Tom's and Howard Lederer's of the world got crucified. Some say it was good business, I felt is was excessive greed but that's another story.

Predictions? Whether he accepts a plea or goes to trial I predict the max he'll receive is a slap on the wrist. You know, pay back some of the ill gotten gains and don't do it again, zero jail.

Neverheeb has nothing on Baasov. HOF run from zero. Let’s see if he clears the secondary for a touchdown.

Whether you’re a fan of his team or not you gotta admire the skills.

If this trial was set in the US I would agree Baasov would essentially skate and sun himself on some island but I am not so sure about the Canada.

Tzvetkoff can prolly provide some tips on squirreling away 100’s of millions.

Well now a little anti-Semitic are we?? I mean Jesus Christ you literally suck the dick of the two biggest crooks in Online poker.. Scott Tom allowed Russ Hamilton and company to cheat unscrupulously from players plus ran it like a Ponzi Scheme and into the ground financially.. FTP also spent money it had no business touching with players funds and was bankrupt (if you truly believe oh its all Uncle Sams fault and if BF hadn't happened FTP would've been fine and recovered your either fucking drunk or high).. Not sure where your hatred of Isai and Co comes from They didn't repeatedly steal funds and run their site like the players deposits were a slushfund for their expenses.. You seriously are delusional and apparently have an issue about successful Jewish people.. If not for Isai and company anybody who had money on FTP wouldn't have gotten their funds back dumbass but go right ahead and demonize the only poker owners who actually didn't fuck their players over of the three you mentioned..

Go ahead FPS and give us your best Goosestep and such

I find your suggestions of antisemitism highly offensive, I like to think of myself as a Talmudic Scholar. Let me let you in on a lil secret, antisemitism doesn't exist. There's counter-semitism but not antisemitism.

There's a case to be made that my thoughts on this subj are beyond reproach. From Sept 11 to JFK to White Genocide to the rigged Dem primary to Kushner getting a free pass and much much more.

I changed my mind, no Bond video. The Cultural Marxism programming is to deep.

As far as I can see there's no update on this case. It's supposedly only the biggest insider trading investigation in Canadian history. The poker media doesn't seem to eager to cover this either hmmmm. It's like there's some mysterious bias, must be nice to be a member of Baazov's secret club or whatever. Just wave your magic wand and poof homeless to CEO of Amaya. Get caught up in a massive insider trading investigation and wave your magic wand again, pooof... IDK maybe I'm overlooking it.

Here's some new Baazov news for you.

Also, looks like the next hearing in his insider trading case is Dec 11.

Last I heard his insider trading trial starts today.
IIRC there was some Rabbi counter suing the Canadian Gov for raiding his house or something, shocker lol.

All kinds of swindles were alleged but I think this is just an insider trading trial. I personally feel the Scheinbergs got a free pass for their role in taking billions out of the poker economy, never to return. Imo the Amaya debacle never would of occurred if (opinion) Scheinberg didn't sell stars based on nepotism. Do you think the Scheinbergs knew what Bazzov was doing? You know my opinion and tbh I'm sick of being right.

Remember my trial prediction, not guilty, case dropped or even if guilty, fine and restrictions no jail. Even if the scope of the swindle is beyond comprehension, just a pattern i noticed.

Preemptively charge them with financial crimes (sort of like the Palestinians) Seize their bank accounts and deport em all and then throw a party.

AMF Data Leak Could Derail David Baazov Insider Trading Trial
Someone at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has blundered and it’s a mistake that could cost the Quebec securities regulator its case against former Amaya chairman and CEO David Baazov.
    Oh well maybe next time.

I'm not sure what the final ruling was, so little media coverage. They apparently have a Jewdicial system like ours.

Quebec judge tosses insider trading trial against former Amaya CEO

MONTREAL — A Quebec court judge ended an insider trading case on Wednesday against the former CEO of online gaming company Amaya and his co-accused.

Salvatore Mascia granted the defence’s third motion to stay proceedings against David Baazov after rejecting two prior efforts.

The decision was made in response to the defence’s claim it was inadvertently given about 320,000 privileged documents it shouldn’t have seen.

    The prosecution wanted them back.

The documents were among tens of millions of pieces of information as part of the process involving one of the largest insider fraud cases in Canadian history.

Quebec’s securities regulator, l’Autorite des marches financiers, charged Baazov and his associates with insider-related counts in 2016.

“We are obviously very disappointed with the judge’s decision,” the regulator said in a statement Wednesday.
