Yesterday began the first day of operation for small, self-driving shuttles which drive passengers up to 0.6 miles for free around downtown Las Vegas.
Its first day wasn't a very good one, as it got into an accident.
Before you condemn the shuttle, it turns out that the accident was the fault of the other driver, who was operating a truck and did not see the shuttle.

Nobody was hurt.
Each shuttle can take 8 people. It is part of a pilot program sponsored by AAA, and will last until November 8, 2018, at which point it will be reevaulated.
The shuttles were taken out of service after the accident for the rest of the day, but have returned to action today.
