The more I read about this Icon A5 the more I cringe, main test pilot and engineer killed in one, only maybe 50 made? It is certainly nothing Id want to be in hitting water at speed. Apparently, the plane descended very rapidly twice before crashing. And it's low weight design required the FAA to give the manufacturer an exemption to minimum weight requirement for "spin resistance". And that only happneded after the company signed off on their own special testing. Perhaps one of those rapid descents could have been due to stall/spin.
