Until Trump leaves office, he could always pardon him. And the best chance that Stone has for that to happen is for him to remain fully on board with Trump in attacking attacking attacking regardless of how insane he might come off doing so.

pardoning can't happen for someone like manafort ot stone, if at all, until trump's term is up or he'd likely be impeached, which means manafort's got at least a couple years minimum.

also, in manafort's plea, he admitted to bank fraud which would prompt state court charges if trump tried to pardon him

also it's my guess that mueller's not done with charges against stone and others. with reports that mueller had emails between stone, guccifer and wikileaks directly, it would shock me if we didn't see charges relating directly to russian collusion. mueller would have to hold on to those charges last as they would probably implicate the president
