My upbringing was Jewish, only in terms of reformed tradition. (ie lighting candles, exchanging gifts, Bar Mitzvahs, Seder.) Literally, only the things you "here about Jewish people doing." I went to a predominantly Catholic private school, inclusive of a school-wide daily chapel meeting (which claimed to be non-secular) however we read hymns from a hymnal, 98% of the time.

I believe that there is some higher power - I just don't know and don't care to dig too deep. I have a real issue with ambiguities - like space and time, so trying to rationalize what more there is or what the meaning of all this shit is, is not something I like to do. As a kid, I spent more than my share of sleepless nights wondering if this universe simply existed as a cell making up the smallest being in the next largest universe. Like I said, I can't deal with anything other than the tangible.

In recent years, I have started practice a shitload of yoga to reach a relaxed/meditative state. I have a bleak outlook on the world and worry that I may never be able to make peace with some things. Specifically, I am often really bothered about something that seems banal to even bring it up...however, its that I can't find logic in the idea that that war/violence solve anything. I am fiercely opposed to and refuse to hear anything to the contrary. I mention it, because I realize that none of these things are going away. Death, is imminent and its really much healthier to find some sort of belief, change my attitude about the inevitable and deal with it.

    so much

KT, your decision to come clean on your very state of mind and the overall backstory, coupled with your obvious weiting skills, suggests that you might consider writing a book about your journey to date. And apply yourself to that project as a means to come to terms with where you find yourself. And while doing that, reclaim life away from the casinos and gambling as a lifestyle. To be frank, because you are a woman *and* still attractive, people will be interested in reading about your story. Especially because you will reclaimed your life at auch a young age. It could serve as an inspiration for many. Seriously consider it. And good luck with whatever you decide.

We all die. And no one has found objective evidence of a greater power or life after death. And not having those things to rely upon emotionally can be depressing. But ask this question: If the mortal coil is inevitable, what better way to apply ourselves before that time than to work on making life better for others in the meantime, even in the smallest ways, for the repeatable joy of doing so?

To be honest, that is something I really enjoy about hauling truckloads of foods stuffs and other products that people will get benefit from being able to enjoy, be it toilet paper or chicken nuggets. And work diligently to make that process go as smooth as possible for my company's customers. The regular camping-in-my-truck routine, unfettered by a neverending pursuit of the acquistion of more "stuff" to fill a house, is just an added bonus of my lifestyle. Truly.

This is either a level or i was totally right about this broad.

Also, if there really is a "cathy" then i regret the distasteful comments about her balding chemo, if not, carry on.

Sanlmar was dead on(what kind of handle is Sanlmar anyway) You've got to keep that monkey mind occupied if you're going to give up the stims, which may not be the real problem. Stims and gambling are the best/worst combo. I'm lucky I learned TM at 19 and when I blast through my script in a week it's almost a blessing. Didn't sleep at all last night. Your dose sounds high but only because people don't understand stimulants as a necessity, not a casual choice

It's the thrill we all seek

It's interesting when people talk about dependence on Adderall. Maybe Vyvanse is hugely different, but I only started taking them for work and have stopped since due to be unemployed. I used to take 80mg Vyvanse(started with something that starts with a D), and I would continually have to remind myself to eat otherwise I become an enraged but focused individual. Also my sex drive was through the roof, engaging in some semi risky behavior. On the weekends I wouldn't take it and I never had any withdrawal symptoms though.

I never seen the weight loss benefits with Vyvanse. Maybe cause its slow release, but I would sweat a bit more than usual. At the gym I would feel invincible also to the point where I felt I could run 10 miles after a 1.5hr lifting session.

I do think though that after a while taking it on a regular basis, it can change your personality/brain function and how you build and form relationships. Might be a good thing for some, especially if you are introverted.

The dependence related to stims is psychological. Depending on your consumption you may never experience a bad withdrawal. One thing people should know is that the increased dopamine brought about by stims is coupled with a decrease in serotonin levels. A see-saw affect I've been told. And believe me you are not good without a fair amount of serotonin.
So there will be stretches where the addict is out of commission where all you want to do is sleep and depression is there for you when you wake up. The one difference among the prescribed stimulants is with Ritalin. It targets dopamine more so than norepinephrine so you don't get much of an energy kick but you also have a slightly better chance of avoiding heart troubles

That doesn't sound like a "psychological" addiction. That's biochemical.

Sincere good luck to you Kilgore. I'm pulling for you.

Question: you said you were a winning blackjack player. Is that because you counted? If not how did you manage to pull this off?

So why were you taking Vyvanse and what did you tell your doctor, or does it even matter with U.S. doctors.

Adderall is terrible, they put me on that shit when I was a teenager. There were maybe 4 or 5 fuckups going to the nurse at lunch to get their pill. After high school, I still knew younger people and it seems like 30 percent of the kids were "ADHD" and medicated. I don't blame my parents, I had a .08 GPA and refused to do homework or take tests. I was just a full blown asshole punk teenager with serious mental problems... but giving drugs like that to normal kids is fucked up. It did improve my grades, but I couldn't sleep, eat, I became angry and introverted, and honestly i'm pretty sure it fucked my mind up for life being drugged and malnourished for that year or so I was a teenage speed freak. To be fair, I did lots of other drugs as well, but Adderall and ritalin are hard shit and the quack doctor had me hopped up on it 24/7/365.
