On average, 7 people aged 19 and under die each day in the United States from gun fire.
That's the average.
Forget the dead, think of the ones left to deal with that pain.

It's disgusting. America will never be a civilized country until it shakes off its gun culture.
HILLARY WON
the problem is there are more guns in USA than people. you can't get rid of them without magic.
District of Columbia. Morning.
Edit: If I have to pick a state then New Jersey. Morning. The marijuana one in Colorado, afternoon, is before that but that's I don't think you can count that as a school.
Thank you for running this contest.
I'm going with Tennessee, mid day, bus stop.
I'm going with a white male 14-18 year old in a moderately affluent suburban city/town in a state that is or leans Left politically.
Limitles can u put up a prize of some sort or find a sponsor if you are unwilling? I think this contest could really pick up once the grim fuckers that play that game where they actually select individuals that they hope to die within the year see this. This is pretty much a politically correct version of that game since it's so much broader. Contestants simply pick a state and time and you don't have to feel like an asshole picking an actual name of a person to die to win. You could even offer double points for people willing to pick other countries and triple points for those that choose to pick a province or territory. I don't think anyone should get the entire country of Canada though because they are due. But at the same time if some dude says British Columbia/evening they deserve more than someone selecting District of Columbia/dawn.
95% of the gun murders are with illegally obtained guns and overwhelming perpetrated by African Americans and Hispanics. If you were to remove the top two demographics from the mathematical equation, our intentional murder rate would be that of Norway. Around 0.6 per 100,000.
Source for this number?
From 2012-2014 gun related child deaths in the U.S., (0-17), run around 1300. Or 3.5 per day.
http://pediatrics.aappublications.or...peds.2016-3486
38% of those numbers include suicide. 6% unintentional, and 3% legal intervention. 53% were homicide, (or around 693).
693 is still too many but lets get the facts straight.
So fucking close today. That security guard really fucked me in that D.C. suburb.

"In 2013, between the wee hours of Nov. 23 and the wee hours of Nov. 24, 10 American children and teenagers were killed by guns. The youngest, Jaiden Dixon, was 9, shot by the deranged father of his eldest brother. The oldest, Kenneth Mills-Tucker, was 19, shot in a car under circumstances that are still unclear.
The number of fatalities that day exceeded the national daily average of 6.75. Then again, averages are almost always misleading — murders of this kind tend to peak on weekends, and Nov. 23 fell on a Saturday that year. The victims, all boys, were also disproportionately African-American (seven). Then again, there’s always been an appalling lopsidedness to this demographic. That day was simply worse."
Like you said the actual numbers are not the point. I heard the author speak the statistic and the above is taken from a NY Times review
One thing about the book, the author looks at one day and details info on each of the ten under 17 year old deaths caused by shootings in one day. Makes it much more relate-able. Whether it's ten, 7 or 4 per day is somewhat irrelevant.
Guns, guns and more guns

Just get rid of the people that want gun control.
