Give them credit for holding first place for half the season with a lineup that was only marginal in the first place, and then suffered major injuries.

Right now there is no Mark Ellis, no Kemp, and no Ethier. Obviously the lineup is going to be terrible.

Also they faced R.A. Dickey tonight who has been the best pitcher in the NL this year.
