    The Harvest

This is yet another great time of year on Vancouver Island. Yeah it rains but that only brings new opportunities.

    Mushrooms baby

I'm 45 minutes from where this guy is and I'm heading out to try my luck.

Do you really know what you're doing picking mushrooms? Don't get a poisonous one.

Pacific Northwest is god if you like nature. It is like out of Lord of Rings.

Its biggest flaw is the winters as you dont see the sun for months. Perfect living arrangement imo would be Pacific Northwest in summers and somewhere else in winters.

Baron Von Strucker: you think vancouver is bad in the winter go four hours east and see what they get, we get mild winters as far as canada goes

Have fun les even though its rain lately, i am sure you have gotten use to it.
lots of mushrooms this year, I hear the best ones grow in alder chips. Pine mushrooms use to be worth a lot of money if they are unopened they smell like pines needles. there are a lot of Psilocybin mushrooms as well in stanly park.

Thanks man, been out the last few days looking for those little mind benders. One of the farms we used to collect at was bare. Also the farmers are
pretty aggressive about trespassers these days. But plenty of forest and Chanterelles are at least easy to identify. Serious pickers pretty much live off selling them as the get 20-30 bucks a pound.

Right now it's raining so hard it's like a dairy cow pissing on a flat stone.
