The bottom line is that you never bite the hand that feeds or helps you. That's clearly what Marty did here.
I've always tried to treat those who have helped me with respect. For example, those who do favors for PFA -- whether effort-wise (such as radio co-hosting) or financial (such as donating to contests or freerolls), I respect the voluntary assistance and try my best to not make them regret it.
When someone helps you a lot, gives you various handouts, AND gives you a loan, you better as fuck treat the loan as priority A-1 and get them paid back immediately. The reasons are clear and obvious.
Most importantly, if you drop the ball with paying them back, you should never have an OUNCE of resentment when they come asking for it. You took the loan. You promised to pay it back quickly. Your life situation or inconvenience factor should not affect your effort to pay them. They didn't have to do shit for you, and you need to appreciate that.
Unfortunately, this is an issue I see constantly in the poker community.
Person A loans Person B money, after Person B has hit rock bottom and Person A really wants to help. Person B acts very grateful and swears he will pay it back as soon as humanly possible. Then time passes, and Person B doesn't send shit. If asked about it, he gets nasty and resentful. He says he can't afford it. He says that his life is still in shambles. He says that you're an asshole to bug him about it when you're doing well and he's still in the dumps. More time passes. Same story. He ignores Person A. He sends nasty messages in response to Person A. Rinse and repeat. No money. Person A regrets ever helping in the first place.
There's no excuse for this aside from narcissistic selfishness.
I am not saying this stuff to troll Marty. He needs to ship the $500 to hut immediately (I'll even be an intermediary on PayPal, if he wants), and apologize profusely for this entire situation.
Now, regarding hutmaster, clearly he was a great friend to Marty and my opinion of him improved after seeing how far he went to help him. hutmaster seems like the type of friend you'd want to have.
However, this is still PFA, and he has talked trash to countless people in this community (including me) for more than a decade. So if anyone wants to give him shit about his soggy pizza dough or any other possible lulz that have come from this, that is our right and privilege to do so. I hope he understands that my questions/comments about his pizza place weren't made from a place of hostility.

So if I have my information correct...
From what I can put together Marty spent his evenings between sleeping in cars and doing meth in hotel bathrooms. His only reprieve during afternoons where he showed up at a local public school intoxicated to sell children pizza? I mean think back to when you were in grade 8. Miserable all morning and socially inept. The only thing you are looking forward to all week is your 5 dollar personal pizza combo. You walk up to the pizza truck only to see an intoxicated man passed out in the back.
