    Message Boards have been dying for years. It's amazing this forum even exists, it's a relic. Social Media absolutely crushed this form of communication and it's never coming back. Druff, honestly you never did change with the times. You could have led us into a way of interacting, instead you took the easy way and just put up a bland forum. Not blaming you, just not much of a vision.

    Better back everything up today. I could picture this shit just vanishing without warning.

    If it does, know that I will move PFA to another hosting company and be back shortly.

    Just found out that this version of vbulletin is unsupported due to its age.

    This means it's incompatible with PHP 7.2+

    This means that getting new hosting might be a huge pain because it might come pre-installed with the newest PHP.

    I have been resisting vbulletin 5 because it sucks and because my custom mods will be lost.

    Hopefully INAP will survive.

    I do have a VPS but it comes pre-loaded with stuff, which is actually useful, but in this case it wouldn't be good if the PHP version is too advanced.

    I'm not going to bother doing anything until I have to abandon this hosting service, which may or may not happen.

    Ok thanks. I don't have any experience with DigitalOcean so I'll message you if I decide to switch there and have questions. I can probably figure out how to replace new PHP with old PHP but when I looked last time, it seemed like a pain in the ass. I ran ito this before when I switched servers and had a PHP which no longer supported vBulletin 4.1.2. I decided just to break down and switch to 4.2 because the user experience is nearly identical, and migrating my custom changes wasn't all that hard.

    But I really don't want to go to vB 5 after everyone got used to this interface.

    Can you not plan a pre-emptive move? Garunteed no/very little downtime
