The old white knight theory, well its usually more fact than theory imo.

Obviously just over compensating for something.

Why don't they allow you to legally gamble with your own hard earned dosh?

Obviously on the wrong platform to ask this question. But does anybody here actually agree with the ban on live gambling in many parts of the country?

And if they held a nationwide public vote on gambling laws, what would be the approximate yay/nay percentage be in heavily relaxing these gambling laws?

The state gives alot of reasons, all of them hypocritical.

Mostly a combination of pandering to the bible thumpers and accepting money from legal gambling entities to ensure that gambling stays illegal to ensure travel to those legal gambling entities.

Had a feeling it was 'lol religion'.

Gambling is an absolute free-for-all in the UK, albeit a regulated free-for-all.

It's led to all sorts of issues. Like multiable gambling commercials during heavily viewed sporting events which have led to all sorts of problems within the home. Families breaking up coz degen hubbies sending them busto etc.

Online -ev games need to be fucked off immediately. They're destroying lives at a rapid pace. That's the one thing I'd change here.

Not being able to legally play poker for $$ within the confines of your own home is a disgrace though. A maddening law.

The law is pretty cut and dry on this. You can't take rake, you can't sell beverages, and you can't even charge a door fee. That pretty much just leaves home games. I'm sure you can find more examples of places that haven't been shut down yet, but that doesn't make it legit.

Well i will say, my admiration for lawyers isn't nearly as big as your admiration for Doug Polks ball sack, his YAM BAGGGG.

its lol...the casino companies are butt hurt that stars/tilt/etc. got in on the billions while they were sitting on the sidelines so they're like 'fuck poker'...

shit's been dragging through the legislature of Pennsylvania for what seems like a decade and they still can't get their shit straight...the state is fairly (and surprisingly) liberal when it comes to gambling...guessing it has to be due to the fact that parx, sugarhouse, etc. on the east coast of the state have been so successful...I know parx (the biggest casino outside philly) has been hellbent on blocking online gaming in the state because they are afraid that it's gonna kill their bottom line...unfortunately poker is attached to all that so it's kinda sitting in limbo...if you can get the Pennsylvania domino to fall with new York and get a sorta NY-NJ-PA gaming pact for poker that might be enough to start the ball rolling to get more and more liberal gaming states online with the poker thing...

but I'm not holding my breath on any of this shit as long as the fucking idiots who want to try to legislate morality have a loud voice in all things 'merican...

think that's pretty in line...I pay $10/hour in time when I play at parx and I'm only playing 10/20-20/40 limit...

Ya it's bullshit. The road you describe sounds like a long and neverending one.

The most galling part is that it has absolutely nothing to do with elected leaders protecting its citizens either. Just another example of the tiny minority calling the shots over the interest of the 99.99% voting majority..... Who serves who?

Some twisted irony somewhere in there.

You get off really fucking lightly considering you're not anonymous like most of us cunts.

No doubt you got the odd skeleton somewhere, but nobody has anything to even make you blush a little.

i must confess as a young kid i got excited viewing the lingerie section of the sears catalog. i was also curious about seeing naked tits in my grandfathers extensive national geographic collection. sadly it only consisted of aborigines and african flap jack titties which didnt do it for me.
