If you’re looking for cities, here’s a primer on who’s interested:

Same reason any big HQ needs access to a large airport. They need to fly execs between Seattle and HQ2 and between HQ2 and DC and international destinations.
Ehn, I see at least 4 flights a day between Seattle & Austin:
https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...tin+to+seattle
I wouldnt be stunned if they nixed it over a lack of direct international flight access but Id be surprised.

Billerica Massachusetts
Chicago's Old post office
You have to drive UNDER it, when coming into the city, so from a visibility standpoint, you would see AMAZON in large letters every time you drive into the city from the west. (this is the building that was used in the opening back robbery scene from Batman, where the clowns all killed each other).
All Metra Trains and CTA trains are located within a 5 minute walk. The NEW post office is right next door, so shipping costs are minimized. Its in a major city, with public transportation linking you to 3 airports (Ohare, Milwaukee and Midway).
Building is already established so lower construction costs
Chicago, therefore, corruption/bribes/kickbacks/tax schemes in order to get them to locate them there. Obama/Rahm/Hillary to push for this.
Was thinking Buffalo, but I don't see it on the list, so I guess I'll take Tampa Bay ( If I have to choose between Tampa and St. Pete, I'll take Tampa )
I'll take Springfield.
It’s going to be Phoenix AZ. Probably East Valley. First off PHX has one of the largest distribution centers West of the Mississippi. Also Apple is building a huge plant here. The new expansion of the 202 will eliminate the need to drive through downtown PHX in 2019. PHX is a major aircraft hub plus depending they could easily fly big corporate jets easily in Mesa and totally avoid Sky Harbor airport. PHX has become one of the test sites for driving cars meaning they could test new deliver methods to include drones in conjunction with that massive distribution center. The pro business Governor and GOP having control of both sides of the legislature also means getting a massive tax break package through for Amazon would also add to the enticement.
So yeah it’s likely to be Phoenix AZ sure it’s blistering hot for a 2-3 months window where we are hitting over 110 consistently. It’s tolerable to amazing the rest of the year here. Including plenty of golf for those execs who want to hit the links whenever. There’s just too many advantages for Amazon here in Arizona.

I've seen like five NFL merchandise burning ceremonies and they have all been Steelers fans. Good try at Amazon HQ2 Pittsburgh.
