lol @ this thread, here's actually what happened:
- Ryland has been trying to get me to stake him for something, first he wanted a $200 mtt stake at the Wynn, I think it's the one with $100 add-on.
- I told him maybe if I'm on site, then he suggested I stake him for a 5/5 NL LATB show. I told him no, and he changed the offer to possibly playing a 2/3 show together on his own dime. I guess he shows up to LA once in awhile because he's been hanging out with the stripper from this thread: https://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sh...t=ball+sniffer
- Ryland obviously has a history of being shady, similar to Malu-bag he was staked $1,500 before black friday and disappeared without an update about him busting. I confronted him about this and he blamed Black Friday, although this happened over a year before BF hit. In this case, however, I did confirm through PTR that he probably did bust. Obviously the kid is better than the average poker player and is a +EV player, but his degenerate behaviors including (but not limited to) blowing his roll on relationship with strippers, spending his winnings on luxury items, and other Caucasian Snoop-Dogg like behavior probably limited his growth. I was also informed from another source that he has a felony record which was downgraded to a misdemeanor in the state of Nevada from his last relationship with an online cam-girl. The validity of this, I have not cared enough to confirm.
- As far as the LATB show goes, I'd be in for 2/3 or 5/5 NL, or even 20/40 limit at some point in the future. I definitely play live once in awhile, and it'd be all in good fun.
Sol seems like a real stand up guy.

Observations
1. Druff needs to learn how to play NLHE or poker is going to pass him by. Limit is a dying game
2. Ryland please tell us where you play live because you are one fucking fish dude.. That KK laydown proves you have no balls at all and how the hell you can be a winning player has to be by sheer luck and finding people stupider then you are at the tables
3. Ryland we get it you have a mancrush on Druff but jesus dude you couldn't have been less obvious then OSA at a Twink Convention..
4. Back to Number 1. I will agree however Druff was indeed pretty card dead but I still think he overplayed the trip 8s and should've tried to squeeze a little equity even if they are tight players I mean come on dude you might as well have been playing your hand exposed with what you did.. It screamed oh my oh my I have three 8s.. Holy fuck even some noob who never had played live till tonight could've read you a mile away.. extracting equity out of nits is +EV shoving All In like somebody whos never played before is exactly what you did.. You looked like a big fish..

I already explained that hand.
I wasn't that deep.
I didn't want a flush draw to get there cheaply and then I am too shallow to fold.
I hoped the check raise would get called by an overpair or a flush draw. Didn't get a call, but someone told me that the guy actually did have a flush draw, so I don't mind winning that pot right away. Obv would rather a call to my all in if he has a draw, but not so much if I raise small. In general it's tough to get much action on a board like that.
Not saying my way was "right" but it wasn't close to horrible or fishy.
I don't think I made any major mistakes during my time on the stream. Wish I got some more interesting hands to play post flop, but whatever. That's how it fell.
I agree the Ryland KK fold was bad.
