As silly as this sounds, TMMLK is right. The only way this can be done imo is having someone screening the calls, or else it will be a complete shit show. Sure, it sounds cool on paper.....more calls, more interaction etc, but knowing the average contribution quality, the frequency of some of these potential callers and their alcohol level will ruin the show for good. I predict 90% of the calls will be unrelated to the story and it will be really hard to just go back to where the hosts left of after each phone call. Perhaps allow more phone calls after each topic, but besides that, don't mess with this perfectly imperfect show.

100 % Disagree, the best part about these NWP/PFA radio shows over the years has been the unpredictability of who is calling in and what they are going to talk about, the best part of the core product of any radio stuff that has been on these forums since the very start has been the interaction with guests etc... IMO

I say fuck the agenda - take the calls - there's a lot more fun in an interactive show. The agenda topics can always wait another week.

In addition TMMLK thinks Todd should have a maximum limit of how long each topic goes for. I think we need a producer to screen calls and have topics snapped off clean to make the show more entertaining.

Keep in mind let's try to keep this topic in a professional state. We don't want Todd ranting about radio now and snapping the whole site down over not feeling appreciated,etc and have to endure another 3 hour rant in regards to it.

This is why you need to stay the fuck away from radio TMMLFag. You come on air and try to tell Druff how to do his show. It's not your show. This, like most other things you post on PFA, is completely incorrect.

Brandon frequently comes on the second half of the show (look it up in the 2017 show descriptions, if you don't believe me).

Funny how you type Free Micon given that you were one of the people frequently bashing/trolling him on DD (including about radio), just as you do to me here. So you basically have zero credibility.

Regarding calls, this is an odd time to bring this question up, as I have taken phone calls at the beginning of the last 2 shows (or last 2 of 3, I forget), and used up a lot of time at the beginning while doing so.

I like the calls, and some people do find them to be the best part of the show. Even TMMLGAY has his appeal (in limited doses).

However, I also have the agenda of topics to get to, and the vast majority of listeners are of the archive variety, with most not reading the forum or understanding forum drama. Those listeners also mainly tune in for discussion of the actual topics, so I don't want 3 hours of phone calls to start the show, even if that's more entertaining to you guys.

I'm trying to find a balance here to where I both take phone calls and get to the agenda topics. It would help if the phone calls weren't all bunched together, as they tend to be. If they were more spread out, I'd take more.

One other potential problem with the calls is when people (who are otherwise well-liked) phone the show while drunk and incoherent.

I try to show them respect and give them the floor, given my appreciation for their regular pahticipation, but sometimes it just makes for awful radio when they are loudly rambling nonsensically.

I think I'm going to just start snapping those off clean, no matter who it is.

My opinion:

TMMLK and OSA are nearly always hilarious calls and one of my favourite parts of the show. It brings a smile to my face just hearing their voice!

It goes without saying that Brandon, Kalwat and Tradersky are all fantastic in their own right.

On the other hand I agree re: keeping the balance right; with that said though people find general shooting the shit/ fun topics and interesting conversations much better listening than long monologues about poker site fraud etc. Unless it's dirt on individuals and the stupid shit/scamming they get up to.

That Deal guy is a merciless troll and needs to get a life.

Agree re:drunks on radio, with the exception of Bad Guy who deserves a regular check-in
