Watched the first hand that was posted and Druff tipped the dealer?? I thought you didn't tip unless "certain criteria was met" - perhaps back in the day you were less frugal? Discuss?

I have been told that food isn't free there, but that I might be able to get like a $20 comp from Stones to order something.

So I won't be breaking the food record, in all likelihood.

I have also learned that there are some skeptics regarding my ability to win in this game (which, honestly, I don't understand, since I have been a LHE winner at similar stakes for a long time.)

But my results have always been lineup dependent, much more than other LHE pros. Interestingly, I was often the top winner in both amount won and in BB/100 in limit holdem against the bad players. That is, I won more against the fish in the games than anyone else, and also beat the fish at a higher rate per hand. This was true on both Stars and Bodog/Bovada.

Where my results weren't nearly as good was against the top pros. I tended to lose against the good players, even ones who I otherwise beat in both money won and BB/100.

So if you put me in a game with relatively few good players, I would crush it -- usually more than any other limit holdem pro, on average. If you put me in a game with mostly good players, I actually became -EV at some point.

I have since made some playstyle changes which seem to have changed some of this, but the bottom line is that I like my chances against what will likely be a lineup of recs and okayish LHE guys.

This is interesting point. I barely play any poker nowadays but the less I play the more I start to realize that what made me so profitable was game selection. I had a great ability to immediately know when to leave the tables or even if another table was more profitable (leave a table I was making money at for an even better one). Unfortunately that skill for live poker does;t exist.

I'm not surprised Druff is goos at this as well as he has the type of mind that looks for the smallest edges in any situation always trying to maximize his advantage.

Happens to me too!!!!

When I play my friends 12 y.o twins.. I usually win and take there allowance.. my +ev is great.. I optomize hands and get great position and pot equity.. IM A POKER PRO..

BUT When I play the same game against people that understands what ALL the pictures mean.. I don't know why but my ev and pot equity go down...

I guess it's not me. It's the bum hunting.....I mean the table selection.
