This. I just picked up an iPad Pro 12.9" and was surprised to see a headphone jack. My phone was due for an upgrade as well, and ended up going with the Note 8 instead of the iPhone. I just can't get down without a headphone jack.
IM IN... who cares weather or not it has a head phone jack? they were prone to failing anyways. The iphone7 comes with a adapter so will the X (8). most headphones will be bluetooth in the near future the way things are progressing.

I only stuck with iPhones for the past 8+ years because:

I was with great trepidation that I purchased my first iPhone.
When I have to put my current phone out to pasture, I might go with something else.

You can buy a decent Android phone for around $100.
You can get the iPhone 6 for $200.
