I'm sorry but they were different times then. White men did treat natives poorly, which is why we give back land, resources, etc in an effort to help them. But at the same time he was our first Prime Minister, he is a part of our history and IMO schools, highways, etc can still be named after him.
Somewhat similar to the debate in the US. How can we preserve history despite great men/women committing acts that are absolutely horrendous in 2017?
