I just got the call from the piece of shit scammer claiming to be from the IRS Criminal Investigation Unit. Said I criminally filed falsified tax returns. PLeas call and have fun and waste this fuckers time....... (202) 621-0316

FYI for anyone that doesn't know already re "IRS calls":

the Internal Revenue Service always will attempt to make contact several times by mail...so a phone call without prior contact is almost certainly horseshit

also, an Internal Revenue Service employee, when first introducing themselves, will never say IRS, rather Internal Revenue Service and give their employee number

don't agree to anything, but get a call back number then google it....chances are other people have posted their experience calling that number

and if after doing all that, you still are worried, call the Internal Revenue Service taxpayer help line at 1-800-829-1040 and ask to review your account,,,have a copy of your most recently filed tax return handy, as the agent will ask you questions about that return to verify your identity (just be prepared to wait on hold for possibly an hour or two).
