    Let's talk Philosophy

    I'm talking real shit.

What do you fuckwits think, really?

How many people here think marriage kids and mortgage are the way to go?

Who are the gangsters living the life and laughing in the face of danger?

Let it all go boys, time to keep it real, fuck the inhibitions

How do you live your life? Are you happy? Let's hear it

Lastly, a person can choose to embrace their own absurd condition.

According to Camus, one's freedom – and the opportunity to give life meaning – lies in the recognition of absurdity. If the absurd experience is truly the realization that the universe is fundamentally devoid of absolutes, then we as individuals are truly free.

"To live without appeal," as he puts it, is a philosophical move to define absolutes and universals subjectively, rather than objectively. The freedom of humans is thus established in a human's natural ability and opportunity to create their own meaning and purpose; to decide (or think) for him- or herself.

The individual becomes the most precious unit of existence, representing a set of unique ideals that can be characterized as an entire universe in its own right.

In acknowledging the absurdity of seeking any inherent meaning, but continuing this search regardless, one can be happy, gradually developing meaning from the search alone.

Only you can answer. Take some time to travel outside your country and meet people from other cultures.

I kinda figured you would want health on the list, given recent experiences.

I'm sure this post is all deep and introspective and occultish and has like 7 meanings but from here it just sounds so fucking gay. I said I'd be honest from now on so there you go.

    Life is totally random.

Coulda been born in a grass hut in Nigeria and all that.

The family, marriage & mortgage thing can serve to amuse you if you can look at your life from 40,000 ft.

Walked into a local hardware store today. Never been there before but I knew what it represented. The owner plays in a local poker game.... as does my son.

We NEVER talk gambling. I set him up as a 8 or 9 year old with a PartyPoker account back in the day. Explained the game and shipped him something small like $20.

Kid took down a tournament for $500 pretty quick. Thought I ruined him for life.

The subject just went dark over the years. I hoped he would find other interests and I didn't want to encourage or send the wrong message.

So anyway, the owner is telling me hand histories with my kid and such. It was all so strangely bizarre to me. First time I had ever heard about his action although I knew he played.

Can't explain it but it struck me as weird and entertaining. The kids and wife amuse the shit out of me.

I do my own thing quite separate and privately from them.

Nothing profound but life ain't profound either.

Was gonna say I'm a fatalist as compared to Sanlmar being a randomist. Then I smoked a fag and realized I'm a most-likleyist.

The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

lastly, in the philosophy of larry, which is built out of movie clips and stand up routines, we have this:

YOU SEE THAT FUCKING WATCH. IT COST MORE THAN HIS CAR. YOU WANT THAT WATCH.

You just smacked me right in the face. I now know that I am going to recover from this accident. I played football in the original astro turf days, and have had 11 knee surgeries. I also raced motorcycles well into my 30's and broke a bunch off bones, but I can honestly say I have never worried about my health until I read your post. I guess I should start to give it some consideration.
