Druff NL event today - $1500 buyin

Tweets are how I am railing this - very gay.

Hello people, I am playing my first NL event today, $1500 buyin. Lost first 2 pots, down from 4500 starting to 4000. #pfa43

Don't recognize anyone at this starting table. Field already up over 2200 & growing! #pfa43

Picked up decent pot with 8s full but lost next hand. Sitting at 5225. #pfa43

    @AsianSpa: Sending @ToddWitteles long distance #GoodJuJu in #pfa43

From what I have seen, it appears to be over 99% men in this field. Maybe just in my section though. #pfa43

Super card dead / missing flops. Down to 2700, we return at 4:48 for level 5 100-200. #pfa43

Actually not as quick as you think. About 60% of the field was gone by the time I busted, which is common for these weekend donkaments.

Was disappointed the way the final hand went.

Had AThh and flop was seemingly a monster AsKh8h.

Got all my chips in (only 3400, so shoving was a no-brainer), he showed KK, but I still had 9 outs.

Turn was Qd, giving me 3 more outs. River was 3c.

I've sucked big time at making draws this WSOP.

this is what is frustrating to me about poker, you make all the right moves and still lose

The mistake made is not having enough chips at the time. It is such a fast structure. Sitting around waiting to get good hands and to have your good hands hit and getting your opponents to fold does not get you to the final table. I think busting early or chipping up gives you more equity long term in these live turbos.

Super fast structure and add in half the dealers are shitty and players tanking for 5 + minutes on decisions that shouldnt take 5 mins IMO and if u don't get dealt hands you are screwed.

Half my dealers ( all asian ladies) washed the cards after every hand yesterday. I saw KK once on level one and won a decent pot. From level 1 till level 5 I saw 3 small pairs and all boards bricked. One time I flopped top top with Ak in a 3 way pot and got 0 action. Last 3 levels I played I saw 8-3 etc almost every hand. I finally picked up qq and shipped in 2500 @ 100-200 and got called by kings.

That said 40 % of the field is clueless. If you get some cards and gain some chips you can do some serious damage.

3k limit will be last event I am playing Tuesday

then in super fast structures their should be a two minute clock on the player to make a decision and GLGLGL in the 3k limit

My problem at this year's WSOP has been draws.

I am missing them. And missing them again. And missing them again.

I can't tell you how many draws and redraws I have missed, including big ones of the straight-and-flush variety.

Obviously more draws are going to miss than hit, but I have made very few, and the few I have made were typically not on big pots.

I will say that I have taken relatively few bad beats, and have flopped more sets than average. However, these sets have yielded very little action, except for today where I flopped a set and two others flopped a straight (and I lost). I guess there was the one time I flopped quads at the mixed holdem and got action, but that's the only hand I remember so far like that. I don't believe any of my other sets have run into top pair / a big draw / an overpair / a lower set. It's almost always been bet-fold on the flop.

I also have put very few bad beats down of my own.

Anyway, they say to win a tournament you have to get lucky -- both with putting down bad beats and coolers. I have been achieving neither.

So what else are you doing at the Rio? Does your press pass get you anything?

Will you try to get into the booth when they are announcing Limit?

If I don't make the final table myself in the 3k, I will offer. Not sure what that WhoJedi dude thinks of me because he is/was friends with Sebok, but I'll give it a shot.
