Sorry, are calling Bill Nye 'the left', a performance art piece about vaginas 'the left', or anything that advocates science over what the courts would generously refer to as perjury 'the left'?

Bill Nye is indeed "the left" these days, as he's moved on from talking about actual science and now rants about social issues dressed up as science.

The performance piece about vaginas became relevant when the notoriously left-wing Hollywood establishment nominated the episode for an Emmy, presumably as a nod to Nye's attempt to push the now-trendy sexual/gender spectrum agenda.

Basically the Emmys are saying that you will get nominated if you cover a subject they like, even if you do it embarrassingly badly.

Is this why you don't like Bill Nye?

Get him out of public performance and into smaller settings and he is just an awesome science advocate and communicator. Listen to his appearances on StarTalk or Planetary Radio for example.

I don't have a problem with "old" Bill Nye and his science programs.

Unfortunately, he seems to have mostly ditched that nowadays, and is wearing his science hat while attempting to push social issues.

That's my problem.

He's also made bizarre statements recently, such as, "Climate change deniers belong in jail."

Shrug, didnt watch it. Bill Nye fights the good fight, thats all I need to know. If he wants to give air-time to a knock-off Isabella Rossellini, I expect that the results are going to do the species more good than anything the opposition is going to roll with.

I love the part where she says "My vagina has its own voice", and then the next line of the song clarifies, "Not vocal cords, but a metaphorical voice".

So they include a (gross) line which they think is clever, and then stop to explain it for the few slow kids that may have taken it literally.

Somehow they didn't stop to explain, "Don't box in my box, my sex junk is better than bagels and lox."

It amazes me that numerous adult professional entertainers were involved in this, yet not one stopped and pointed out how awful it was. I think they were all too busy patting each other on the back for being edgy and pushing the envelope.
